Earlier this week I posted about the Magic of Audible, so today I’m sharing my review of my latest audiobook!
I often enjoy reading memoirs and biographies of famous people, and sometimes, if you’re lucky, they read the audio versions themselves. I think this is a fun type of audiobook to listen to because part of the reason we read these celebrity books is that we want to know more about them and their personalities.
That’s why when I saw that The Magnolia Story audiobook was on sale for $4, I snatched it up! Chip and Joanna Gaines, the authors, are the Stars of the HGTV show Fixer Upper. I love their show, their style, and their relationship, so I was excited to listen to the book.
The book tells their whole back story, from how they met to how they started their company and became reality TV Stars. I love that the book was read by both Chip and Jo, and it was written in an honest, refreshing style. They explain how important their faith has been in maintaining such a close relationship with each other. I could tell from the later chapters of the book that their job is their passion–they are living out their dreams, and I think that’s a really cool thing to see. This was a quick read, but super interesting! I highly recommend it.
